Jeffrey D. Shellhammer is currently in his twenty-fourth year as a Director of Bands for the Gahanna-Jefferson Schools. Prior to this position, he served as Director of Bands at Fremont Ross High School for six years and Berne Union High School for three years. Mr. Shellhammer is a 1975 graduate of Bowling Green State University (BME), a 1984 graduate of VanderCook College of Music (MME), and served as graduate assistant while enrolled in the Ph.D. program at Florida State University during the 1984-85 school year. He was the recipient of the ASBDA-Stanbury Award for Ohio in the Senior High Division in 1983, and was named to the Edgewood (Ashtabula) High School Hall of Fame in 2005 and the Fremont Ross High School Music Hall of Fame in 2008. In 2006, he received the OMEA Outstanding Music Educator Award.
At Gahanna, Mr. Shellhammer directs the Golden Lions Marching Band, Freshman Band, Blue Band, and Gold Band. He also teacher Honors Music Harmony/Theory and assists with the sixth and seventh grade in the three middle schools. He is a member of the Music Educators National Conference and the Ohio Music Education Association, having served as an adjudicator, All-State Band Chair, All-State Coordinator and host for numerous concerts band/choir/solo-ensemble competitions. Other affiliations include the National Band Association, and Phi Beta Mu national bandmasters fraternity. Jeff and his wife Kelly have two daughters, the older one (French horn) will be a Freshman in college and the younger (percussion) is a Sophamore at Lincoln HS.
Diane Ballard, Director of Bands at Gahanna Middle School East, is currently in her twenty-third year with Gahanna-Jefferson, after teaching for seven years in central Iowa schools. Mrs. Ballard teaches woodwind sectionals in each of the middle schools, coaches flute sectionals for the Freshman, Blue and Gold Bands at Lincoln High School, and conducts the Lincoln High School Flute Choir which performs for the community, OMEA Adjudicated Events, and sponsors mentorship clinics to encourage young flutists. Her accomplishments have included students successfully auditioned to the Iowa All-State Band, performances at the Iowa Jazz Championships, superior ratings at IHSMA Large Group Contest, conducting Gold Band at the MidWest Clinic, and publication in the prestigious Journal of Research in Music Education.
A 1979 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and a 1994 graduate of The Ohio State University, Mrs. Ballard frequently serves as a resource person for music education classes, teacher workshops, and student clinics. She is a member of Peace Lutheran Church- Gahanna, Music Educators National Conference, Ohio Music Education Association, Iowa Bandmasters Association, Phi Beta Mu, and charter member of the Zeta Nu Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma. Mrs. Ballard is the proud parent of freshman at Bowling Green State University majoring in art education, and she spends her spare time quilting and playing with her French bulldog puppy, Milo.

Greg Miller is Director of Bands at Gahanna Middle School South and Assistant Director of the Golden Lions Marching Band. He also serves the Gahanna school district as the percussion specialist, coaching the percussion sections of all three middle schools, as well as conducting sectionals with all three high school bands. Mr. Miller also directs the marching band drum line and the high school percussion ensemble.
Mr. Miller is active as an OMEA adjudicator for Solo/Ensemble Events and has auditioned and coached two All-State Band percussion sections. He is a 1998 and 2005 graduate of The Ohio State University and a 1993 graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School. Mr. Miller previously taught in Liberty Union-Thurston Schools, and is in his eleventh year of teaching- ninth in Gahanna. He is a member of the Music Educators National Conference, the Ohio Music Education Association, and the Percussive Arts Society. His wife is a Ratings System Analyst for Cass Information Systems, and they have two daughters, ages 6 and 3.

Rob Cebriak is Director of Bands at Gahanna Middle School West, where his responsibilities include 6th, 7th, and 8th grade concert bands, two jazz bands, woodwind choir, and assisting with the high school marching band, pep band, and concert bands. Mr. Cebriak earned his BME from The Ohio State University in 1992 and his MM in performance from Ithaca College in 1997. Now in his seventh year at Gahanna, Mr. Cebriak previously taught in the Miami Trace Local Schools, Crestview Local Schools in Columbiana County, and Washington Court House City Schools.
Mr. Cebriak is active as an adjudicator and has served OMEA as a large group adjudicated event chair, chairperson for the 2007 & 2004 OMEA High School All State Jazz Ensemble, district treasurer, district honor band host, and as a member of the large group adjudicated event music selection committee and the government relations committee. He is also a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and ASBDA. His wife is a Registered Nurse, and they have two children: ages 9 and 5.

Kelly L. Shellhammer is in her 18th year of directing the two jazz bands at Gahanna Lincoln High School and her sixth year of teaching full time in the Gahanna-Jefferson schools. Prior to this, she held positions with the Columbus School for Girls, Columbus Public Schools and Grandview Heights City Schools. Mrs. Shellhammer is a 1984 graduate of Bowling Green State University (BME) and a 1986 graduate of Florida State University (MM).
Mrs. Shellhammer teaches brass classes to 6th and 7th graders throughout the district, teaches a jazz history/improvisation class at GLHS, assists with brass sectionals and marching band at the high school, performs professionally with the Rick Brunnetto Big Band and maintains a private studio. She is a member of the OMEA, MENC and IAJE. Kelly and Director of Bands, husband Jeff, have two daughters.
